Designed as an urban communication device, ‘Figure’ challenges the conventional linear bench paradigm by introducing a circular bench layout. Departing from the traditional hierarchy and linear organization, this innovative design promotes fresh ways of occupying the bench. The continuous configuration encourages occupants to ‘face each other,’ fostering novel processes of urban communication and interaction. Crafted from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) sheet material, Figure is environmentally conscious, being made from recycled plastic bottles.
